Doppelganger Backend

This is the backend API for the Doppelganger mobile app. It provides AI-powered character generation and interaction capabilities using Anthropic.

Setup

1. Clone this repository
2. Create a virtual environment: python -m venv venv
3. Activate the virtual environment:
4. Windows: venv\Scripts\activate
5. macOS/Linux: source venv/bin/activate
6. Install dependencies: pip install -r requirements.txt
7. Create a .env file based on .env.example and fill in your AWS credentials
8. Run the development server: python run.py or uvicorn app.main:app --reload

Deployment

This backend is designed to be deployed to Render. See the render.yaml file in the root directory for configuration details.
